Professional Football Returning To Macon

The city of Macon, Georgia will once again be home to a professional football organization, Macon has been home to a couple of professional football teams in the early 2000's and now will have a new team to cheer for.

The Legacy Football Alliance board of directors agreed to place a team in Macon after speaking with officials of various venues and came away from those talks with very solid commitment from a historical venue in Macon.

" Macon is a great football city and has had a couple successful football organizations in the past and we are looking to bring pro football back to the city and to provide the citizens of Macon and the surrounding area with some great football" stated LFA CEO Warren Watts.

Macon has such rich traditions in the entertainment arena and the LFA will be adding to that, Macon's new professional football team will be called the Macon Axemen.
